Daily Goods Design LABS: Women that Make, Create and Innovate - 2022

Team IIGA
December 14, 2021

Part of the DesignTO festival

Calling all designers, fashionistas and technology experts!

Daily Goods Design LABS once again is featuring women that are changing the landscape of design by intersecting it with fashion, science and technology.

Designing during the pandemic has offered us a chance to question our way of working and is served as a means to explore out-of-the-box thinking.

Applying a design thinking process, designers, fashionista and technologists are playing a vital role analyzing the most pressing issues in order to come up with forward thinking solutions.

Renn will kick off the talks sharing a point of view on how to design with a mindset that focuses on human diversity with respect to gender, age and other forms of human difference.

Nadine will focus her talk on health care and how as a design anthropologist, she focuses on embedding ethnographic methods and critical thinking within human-centred design, and in doing so, contributing to the design of more caring and equitable futures.

Veda will share her unique point of view on how her work at Hertility is helping to shape the future of reproductive healthcare by pioneering unique diagnostic testing that provides data-driven and advanced insights into reproductive health, fertility decline and the onset of menopause.

The event will wrap-up with a meet-and-greet where the presenters, female designers and engineers are present for conversations to discuss their work.
