National Robotics Challenge 2021 (NRC 2021) is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for participants to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
In NRC 2021, WRO-Regular Category 2021 is a rules based competition where students design, build and program a robot that will solve missions on a playfield. The format of the competition is adapted from the international WRO Regular.
There are 3 categories in the WRO-Regular Category competition. Namely, Primary category, Secondary category and Tertiary category. NRC will follow the gameplay of WRO Challenge for the Elementary, Junior and Senior categories respectively.
The age requirements are as such:
• WRO Regular, Elementary (Primary) : 8-12 years old
• WRO Regular, Junior (Secondary) : 13-16 years old
• WRO Regular, Senior (Tertiary) : 16-19 years old
- Format:
WRO-Regular will consist of Qualifiers and subsequently Finals.
For Qualifiers teams will have to submit their Robot Video Submission and will be scheduled for live Online Presentations. Shortlisted teams will be selected and will be invited for the finals.
In the finals, there will only be an Online Robot Challenge component and no presentations. Surprise rules may be introduced for the finals.Details of the scoring mechanism for Qualifiers and Finals can be found in the WRO Regular Category 2021-General Rules document. - Challenge Manual:
