Shell Energy & Chemicals Park Rheinland, the leader in the energy and chemicals sector, has been announced as the Host Partner for AUTOMA 2024. The company engages in the business programme by presenting its solutions, hosting workshops and offering delegates exclusive tours of its Wesseling and Godorf sites. AUTOMA 2024 is held on 14-16 October in Düsseldorf, Germany.

So, delegates have the opportunity to learn about them during exclusive tours on the third day of the Congress, as AUTOMA 2024 has expanded to a three-day event.

During an interview "BGS Talks'' at AUTOMA 2023, Vineet Jaiswal, the Chief Information & Digital Officer of Essar Oil, highlighted: “Decarbonisation is making sure that carbon footprint goes down, decentralisation is helping in that entire process and digitalisation is the enabler for that”.

On the first day of AUTOMA 2024, Karina Fernandez, General Manager, Emerging Digital Technologies, presents on how digital technologies are fuelling the transformation of the energy sector towards a cleaner future during a roundtable discussion. On the second day, Ahmed Hussein, Machine Vision lead for Operation, discusses automated operator rounds with robotics and AI. Also, Shell Energy & Chemicals Park Rheinland hosts a workshop in partnership with Energy Robotics and coac GmbH.

On the third day, a limited number of delegates have an exclusive chance to visit facilities of both Shell Energy & Chemicals Park Rheinland and Henkel AG & Co. KGaA. During guided tours of Shell Wesseling and Godorf sites, participants expand the knowledge about the Refhyne I (10MW) and Refhnye II (100MW) sustainable hydrogen electrolysis projects and explore the future of bio-LNG production at a recently opened new plant.

After visiting Shell, representatives are transported to Henkel at their global headquarters in Düsseldorf.  This includes a tour of the newly built Inspiration Center — a research and development hub dedicated to adhesive technologies.  Participants learn how Henkel leverages predictive maintenance for equipment.
