Lotte Group, a renowned conglomerate, showcased its commitment to carbon neutrality and unveiled a range of initiatives during the recent "World Climate Industry Expo" held at BEXCO in Busan. The event, themed "Moving Beyond the Climate Crisis Towards Sustainable Prosperity," provided visitors with valuable insights into carbon neutrality practices applicable to everyday life.

In an interview with Song Hye-rim, a representative of Lotte Group, details emerged regarding the company's strategies for promoting carbon neutrality, as well as its vision and plans for the future. The exhibition booth highlighted various carbon neutrality activities, featuring products and innovations from 19 affiliated companies.

When asked about Lotte Group's plans to achieve carbon neutrality, Song Hye-rim shared, "Lotte has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 and has developed a 10-year carbon emission reduction plan." The company is actively expanding its eco-friendly businesses by focusing on six key carbon reduction activities, which encompass renewable energy transition, carbon capture, energy efficiency improvement, hydrogen energy, fuel conversion, and transitioning to non-polluting vehicles.

The presence of Lotte Group at the "Climate Industry International Expo" underscored the company's dedication to carbon neutrality, providing visitors with a glimpse of its ongoing efforts and its determination to shape a sustainable future.
