Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Electric Vehicle Charging Management Solutions 2024 Vendor Assessment focused on software vendors' capabilities and strategies driving electric vehicle (EV) charging management solutions globally.

The 2024 report highlights Schneider Electric’s platforms’ key strengths as “its versatility and extensibility, security, pricing engine, and data reporting,” along with “the company’s global deployment, turnkey service, 24x7 support capabilities, and gradual integration of the platform into its electrification and energy management portfolio.”

Schneider Electric's EV charging management solutions are designed to meet diverse regional needs through two main platforms: EV Connect in North America and Oceania and the EcoStruxure EV Advisor in Europe. Schneider Electric acquired EV Connect in June 2022, bringing its global reach, digital automation, and energy management expertise to the 15-year-old EV charging specialist, which serves  a broad set of use cases for customers, including charge point operators (CPOs), charging network providers, Fortune 500 companies, charging business upstarts and trailblazers, fleet-scale transportation providers, and electric utilities, across 50 U.S. states and almost 20 countries throughout North America, Europe, and Oceania.

Bolstering Schneider Electric’s EV charging portfolio, the open standards-based management platforms—respective to each market—monitor and report on key operational activities, metrics, and indicators, to provide network, host, driver, and utility services on one unified platform. In addition to maximizing uptime performance and user satisfaction, the management platforms are backed by a comprehensive range of services, flexible to adapt to various business models, to reduce the total time-to-repair and minimize the risk of stranded charge station assets.

Both platforms deliver comprehensive EV charging infrastructure management, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and user experience. Schneider’s eMobility infrastructure portfolio delivers fully integrated, turnkey solutions including installation, hardware, software, and operations and maintenance (O&M), backed by robust and integrated support for faster resolution of issues and greater charger uptime.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a Leader by IDC MarketScape. This acknowledgment reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in EV charging management solutions,” said Nadège Petit, Chief Innovation Officer of Schneider Electric. “Our goal is to empower customers with seamless, adaptable platforms that accelerate the transition to clean energy. And with the strength of our ecosystem, together with EV Connect, we remain a trusted partner in building a sustainable future by delivering customized EV infrastructure that meets diverse needs.”
