Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now stocking the MAX40109 low-power precision sensor interface system-on-chip  from Analog Devices, Inc. integrates a high-precision, programmable analog front-end analog-to-digital converter calibration memory, and digital signal processing. Available in a thin quad flat no-lead package, the MAX40109 is designed for a range of sensor applications, including force, pressure, temperature, strain gauges, and Wheatstone-Bridge.

ADI's MAX40109 SoC, now available at Mouser, provides a digital-to-analog converter with an output buffer to support analog voltage output and a 4 mA to 20 mA current loop. The MAX40109's sensor AFE offers both analog and digital outputs. The device features an operating supply voltage range of 3 to 36 volts and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The analog front end can interface with resistive bridge-based pressure sensors, and the device can measure temperature either directly from the resistive bridge or from an external thermistor.

The MAX40109's digital interfaces program the device's calibration memory, the gain of the front-end programmable gain amplifier, and the internal current source that drives the sensors' bridge. The digital I2C interface can also be used to retrieve the digital output data and generate alarms.
